GEO adopts a multi-layered approach to recruitment. Our recruitment process will allow both parties the opportunity to assess whether or not we are a fit for each other.

We are interested in understanding how closely your values align to ours. This aspect, in addition to ensuring that you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in the role that you are applying for is really important to us.

Some key milestones in our recruitment process include:

  • submission of an online application
  • shortlisting
  • verification of academic record and professional registration (where applicable)
  • panel interview
  • verification of employment history
  • pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing) and
  • police and probity background checks

Successful candidates will participate in an induction program that will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to work in a Correctional Centre.
